Gaiole in Chianti is one of the historic communes of Chianti Classico, alongside Radda, Castellina, Greve in Chianti and Castelnuovo Berardenga. It is hill country: long slopes, oak and cypress at the field edges, and enough height to slow the ripening.

The estate’s vines and olive groves lie on those slopes, around the hamlet and below it. The olives are pressed for the estate’s own oil; the grapes are made into wine in the cellar on the property.

The estate runs to seven hectares of vines and olives on the hills around the hamlet, worked by the family themselves.
